On Saturday, September 27, Binghamton alum Stacy Newman Winterfield '99 will be hosting a workshop, "Moments on the Journey to Paper Quilts," beginning at noon. Newman Winterfield has coined her work as “Paper Quilts,” mixing printmaking with sewing the pieces together to become a quilt that takes on a life of their own. She pursued her passion earning a bachelor's degree in studio art from Binghamton University in 1999 and a master's degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2005. Join Winterfield and the art museum staff in a paper quilt workshop where you will learn how she has honed her craft and work together to create a community quilt.
