About Us

Located at the heart of campus in the Fine Arts Building, the Binghamton University Art Museum is a dynamic public space where faculty and staff engage students and the broader community through original exhibitions, educational initiatives, and public programming. The Museum’s permanent collection comprises more than 4,500 objects acquired selectively over the past 50 years. Spanning 5,000 years of artistic and cultural history, the collection includes works on paper, paintings, sculpture, and decorative arts from around the world. Together, the collection and the Museum’s ongoing exhibitions and programs provide opportunities for interdisciplinary learning, research, and meaningful engagement with art and culture. These resources are an integral part of Binghamton University’s academic and cultural mission.
