Celebrate Homecoming Weekend with the BUAM! Drop-in tours of our Fall 2025 exhibition, In The American Grain: Exploring America Through Art, 1919–1946, hosted by knowledgeable student docents in our Main Gallery available both Friday, September 26 and Saturday, September 27. In addition, show off your Binghamton pride and make a custom BUAM button.

On Saturday, Binghamton alum Stacy Newman '99 will be hosting a workshop, "Moments on the Journey to Paper Quilts," beginning at noon. Newman Winterfield has coined her work as “Paper Quilts,” mixing printmaking with sewing the pieces together to become a quilt that takes on a life of their own. She pursued her passion earning a bachelor's degree in studio art from Binghamton University in 1999 and a master's degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2005. Join Winterfield and the art museum staff in a paper quilt workshop where you will learn how she has honed her craft and work together to create a community quilt.

Also on display in our Lower Galleries Deconstructing "the Brain": Imagining Binghamton University curated by BUAM intern, Bassie Chin '26. Deconstructing "the Brain": Imagining Binghamton University explores how the University has represented itself visually since its founding and how those images both reflect and shape its identity. From farmland to the "brain" design, the exhibition uses photos, plans and student work to show how the University's image has evolved alongside its growth. "

All events are free and open to the public.
