About Us

KnitWits is an opportunity for students to knit or crochet (or learn how to knit or crochet) with the intention of creating articles of clothing, blankets, and various other items to donate to charity. The purpose of this group is to provide Binghamton students with an opportunity to use their creativity to help those in need.

Member Benefits

Members who join KnitWits will learn how to knit or crochet, or further their current skills. By participating in our weekly meetings, members can interact with like-minded individuals, share their crafts, and assist others who need guidance. Participating will also contribute to our annual philanthropic donations.

Events & Activities

We hold weekly meetings for our general body to attend. About once a semester, there is a Knit-A-Thon where we focus on completing a blanket to donate to Project Linus. Members can also stitch products to be sold at tabling events.

Exclusive Resources

We provide hands-on instruction to new crafters and assist experienced crafters with more difficult techniques. We provide tools and yarn for members to rent for free. We also provide free patterns and online resources.

Connnections

Join meetings and events, create projects, and make friends with like-minded crafters! Follow us on Instagram and Like our Facebook page for club updates, see which organizations we have donated to, and see projects we have created!
