FLY's community outreach program is in full swing! We currently have dates set up with local high schools, such as Whitney Point High School, where we will send both E-Board and general body members to educate students in basic financial literacy. This opportunity is a great experience which will allow you to build public speaking skills, increase your understanding of personal finance, and give back to the local community!
As of February 2022, Financial Literacy for the Youth (FLY) has become officially chartered with the Binghamton Students Association. FLY provides Binghamton University students with the opportunity to get a basic financial education for use in their adult lives, as well as training for volunteer opportunities. Volunteering with our community outreach program gives Binghamton Students from all majors the opportunity to teach basic financial literacy to high school students in the local area.
