oSTEM at Binghamton University
MISSION
We envision a world where LGBTQIAP+ people in the STEM community are empowered to achieve success in a safe and supportive environment that celebrates their diversity and unique contributions. oSTEM empowers LGBTQIAP+ people in STEM to succeed personally, academically, and professionally by cultivating environments and communities that nurture innovation, leadership, and advocacy.
GOALS
To support those within the LGBTQIAP+ community and the STEM fields professionally, academically, and personally by holding events and offering encouragement. For Spring 2022, we would like to expand our reach within the student community by increasing our B-Engaged members, continue to steadily hold social, professional, and academic events, and continue our speaker series that we began in Spring 2021.
