Advocate for Survivors

The Feminist Collective is collaborating with 20:01 Prevention Program Advocacy Group to write letters to help push New York State Senate Bill S54A, which is important legislation that addresses sexual assault and aims to end the harmful practice of victim-blaming in legal proceedings.

This bill seeks to ensure that survivors of sexual assault are not discredited or retraumatized in court based on irrelevant personal history or stereotypes. By strengthening protections, SB 54A will create a more just, supportive, and equitable legal process for survivors in New York.

We are asking for your organization’s support in raising awareness and building momentum for this critical legislation.
