This Tues day 7:15 to 8:15, we're hosting a mixer event for students who:
are building their own startup and looking for team members, or
have a business idea that they need help carrying out, or
don't have an idea but want to join/ contribute to a student project
It will be a team-building speed dating event to help you find your people and is open to students of any academic/career backgrounds. If any of these sound like you, fill out the RSVP form!!
As you may or may not know, EC has a Pitch It competition coming up in November where you can compete for up to $2,000 in funding to jumpstart your venture and gain access to a supportive community of entrepreneurs and mentors. Fill out this interest form to receive updates and take your first step in turning your idea into reality.

EC E-Board Intern Applications
Entrepreneur Connect is looking for new interns! As an e-board intern, you will be working with current e-board members as you learn about their responsibilities and inner-workings of EC. Interns will takeover the role eventually, so keep in mind we expect that you are able to stay with EC a few more semesters.

SXSW Pitch 2026, held during SXSW in Austin, TX (March 12–18, 2026), is one of the world’s most prestigious and respected global platforms for early-stage startups to present their ideas, products, and technologies to investors, media, and industry leaders.
Applications are due by November 7th, 2025, with a $220 application fee that is EASILY WAIVEABLE.
For anyone interested in applying for the competition, reach out to Tiru Chimpiri, who will waive the application fee for you
About SXSW Pitch:
Now in its 18th year, SXSW Pitch alumni have raised over $23.2 billion in funding
Finalists pitch live to a panel of VCs, angel investors, corporate partners, and press
Covers 9 innovation categories, including one specifically for Student Startups
Product or service launched on or after January 1, 2023
Total funding raised is under $10 million
Must fall into one of the official SXSW Pitch categories
For Student Startups: At least one founder must be currently enrolled in college/university and must present if selected

NYSP2I Student Competition Request for Application
The NYS Pollution Prevention Institute is hosting an R&D Student Competition in April 2026. They are currently accepting applications until October 8th. If there are any student teams with a faculty advisor interested in participating, please reach out to Linda Reynolds at lreynold@binghamton.edu.
NYSP2I developed the Student Competition for graduate and undergraduate level teams to enable university partner students to propose, research, develop, and design solutions to real-world environmental challenges. NYSP2I’s Student Competition seeks innovative projects focused on sustainability that respond to a defined topic or issue.
Attached is the NYSP2I 2025-2026 R&D Student Competition Request for Application (RFA).
Note the application deadline dates are:
October 8, 2025: R&D Student Competition applications are due at 5 p.m. October 15, 2025: Notification of selected teams eligible for participation
