Join the Constitution, Bylaws and Chartering Committee
We, the GSO E-Board, are looking for members to join the Constitution, Bylaws and Chartering Committee. This is a great opportunity to help make a difference in the way graduate students, and the organization that represents them, are able to interact and develop at Binghamton University.
This committee shall:
Examine all proposed bylaws and Constitutional amendments, and shall make recommendations about them to the Senate.
Periodically review the Constitution and bylaws and shall, if necessary, propose changes.
Make recommendations to the Senate concerning the granting of charters to sub-organizations and the revocation of existing charters.
review any petition for charter by non-departmental sub organizations and make recommendations to the Senate.
If you are interested in becoming a member of the committee, please contact Tyler Wright at gsovpres@binghamton.edu.
First Amendment Roundtable Debate
We are looking for students to participate in a roundtable debate on policing the 1st Amendment on campus. The format will be geared to be a discussion around the issues and not a competitive debate. The goal is to enlighten the student body about different perspectives pertaining to police presence and the 1st Amendment. The event will be taking place on March 9th or 10th, and will follow the same format as the roundtable debate hosted in the fall semester about free speech on campus.
If you are interested or have any questions, please reach out to gsovpma@binghamton.edu.
