Join The Center for Civic Engagement for the Community-Engaged Learning and Research Showcase
Celebrate the impact of community-engaged learning and research projects resulting from strong partnerships between faculty, students and the community at our Community-Engaged Learning and Research Showcase on Wednesday, April 26 in Old Union Hall! This event will provide examples of establishing authentic, reciprocal and mutually beneficial community partnerships and outcomes. A focus of the conversations will be on defining frameworks for community-engaged research and learning, and scholarship; broader impacts and societal impacts; and University initiatives to support this work.
The schedule of events include:
1:30 - 2:30 p.m. Panel discussion of faculty and community partners
3 - 4 p.m. Keynote Address: Laurie Van Egeren, assistant provost for university-community partnerships at Michigan State University, will present on Community-Engaged Scholarship: Ten Do’s and Don’ts in University-Community Partnerships
4 - 6 p.m. Community-Engaged Learning and Research Poster Showcase and Reception
