I hope the Spring 2023 semester ended well for everyone and you’re able to be immersed in your research and scholarship, with a little time off over the summer. If you are planning your community-engaged learning and/or research over the summer and into the Fall 2023 semester please note the various funding opportunities for establishing community-based learning, teaching, and research. This includes Community Engagement Faculty Teaching and Research Enrichment Grants, and Community-Engaged Learning (CEL) Course Development Stipends. Specific details can be found below and Here. A number of faculty across campus have already been applying and are utilizing these initiatives for their teaching and research.

As always, I am here to work with you one-on-one to develop or modify your community-engaged teaching and research plans for Fall 2023 and beyond.  Additionally, the CCE staff and I are all here to facilitate and strengthen community connections for sustainable and mutually beneficial community-based learning and research, whether that experience is in person or through some other means.

The goal for each of the CCE faculty newsletters is to share opportunities for professional development related to community-based teaching, research and scholarship. Feel free to reach out to me at any time to discuss your interest in these activities.
