A warm welcome to our new students and a welcome back to our returning students! The mission of our office, SOM Career Services, is to help you best position yourself in the job market with customized career guidance and resources. Our team is dedicated to your success, and we are happy to assist you in any way that we can.
Whether you're just starting your college journey or approaching graduation, it's crucial to be thinking about your career path and job/internship search. We can't emphasize enough how vital it is to connect with our office, engage in campus activities, update your resume and other application materials, keep a daily eye on your email, network with professionals, and make an effort to attend as many career-related events as possible. If you need help along the way, please don't hesitate to contact us, schedule a one-on-one appointment with a professional staff member on Handshake, or visit us during drop-in hours.
It's Time to Update Your Resume
Did you intern or volunteer over the summer? Take an online class? Earn a certification? Make sure to update your resume with any new experiences and upload it to Handshake for approval.
REMINDER: SOM students must have an approved resume on Handshake. Once you upload your document, our office will review it within 1-2 business days.
*If your resume gets automatically approved, it likely means that your Handshake profile doesn't list SOM anywhere. Please update your profile and email somcs@binghamton.edu with any further questions.
STUDENTS TAKING MGMT 111: You don't need to have your resume approved immediately, as it will eventually become a class assignment. Nevertheless, it's a good idea to begin working on it sooner rather than later!
Having trouble writing your resume?
