Transitioning out of university life brings a mix of excitement, uncertainty, and major milestone decisions. The Life After College series offers a dedicated, supportive environment for current seniors to navigate this shift with confidence. LOCK IN with us! Designed as a dual-semester cohort experience with monthly evening sessions, this program equips you with practical professional tools, financial and life-planning strategies, and a safe community space to candidly discuss your fears, identity, and aspirations with peers and university staff.
Fall Semester: Foundation, Identity & Professional Mapping
Session 1: September 8, 5:30 - 7 p.m., LS-G532: Deconstructing the Transition | Unpack common myths about post-grad life, break down personal anxieties, and build strategies to overcome fears about entering the workforce. Goal & Vision Setting | Translate long-term ambitions into clear, achievable post-graduation milestones using structured life-planning frameworks.
Session 2: October 6, 5:30 - 7 p.m., LS-G532: Identity in the Workplace | Explore how personal identity intersects with professional environments, through a presentation and guided discussion in collaboration with the Fleishman Center
Session 3: November 10, 5:30 - 7 p.m., LS-G532: Alumni Insights | Q&A and network in an interactive alumni panel sharing authentic career experiences.
Spring Semester: Execution, Readiness & Celebration
Session 1: TBD, 5:30 - 7 p.m., LS-G532: Interview Mastery & Professional Attire | Engage in hands-on mock interviews with career advisors. Browse and keep professional attire directly from the Fleishman Center’s workwear rack at no cost.
Session 2: TBD, 5:30 - 7 p.m., LS-G532: Real-World Responsibilities | Master essential adulting fundamentals, featuring expert advice on personal financial management, budgeting, benefits, and everyday post-grad logistics.
Session 3: TBD, 5:30 - 7 p.m., LS-G532: Senior Send-Off & Reflection | Gather to reflect on your journey, celebrate your cohort’s growth, and formally close out the program before commencement.
