GSO Leadership: SUNY Title VI and Bias Response Workshop

As an effort to prevent and respond to discrimination and harassment, SUNY has required all student leaders on state-operated campuses to complete this workshop.

This interactive workshop is designed to educate student leaders on their rights and responsibilities under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. It emphasizes SUNY’s and Binghamton University’s commitment to fostering an inclusive, equitable, and safe learning environment free from discrimination based on race, color, or national origin. Participants will walk away understanding how to respond and file a bias incident report on this university's campus. Participants will also engage in a case study to apply their understanding of Title VI.
