Join us for Moments at the Monuments, an engaging BYou Circle experience designed to spark connection through shared stories and reflection. Taking place at three powerful historical sites — the Falling Man sculpture (June 11th)  on the Binghamton University main campus, and the Harriet Tubman Monument (July 9th) at the Downtown Center, — this workshop invites participants to pause, reflect, and build understanding in the community.

Rooted in dialogue and storytelling, this circle is open to all members of our campus — students, faculty, and staff — who are curious about how the spaces we inhabit connect to our identities, histories, and futures. We’ll explore what these monuments mean to us individually and collectively, and how we can hold space for one another across differences.

Whether you're looking to engage more deeply with the Binghamton community, share your voice, or simply listen and learn, this is a space for you.

No preparation or prior experience needed — just come as you are.

You may park in thr downtown campus lot-  if needed buzz in and let them know you are there for a BU event. The monument is near the parking lot.

Learn more about the Harriet Tubman Monument.

If you require any disability-related accommodations or auxiliary aides to comfortably attend and participate, reach out to Jennifer Smith, email: jsmith96@binghamton.edu. If possible, please provide 3-5 days of advanced notice regarding your accessibility needs. Thank you.
