Is Your Message Being Heard? If you are like most people, you depend on your voice for up to eighty percent of all communication. A good speaking voice can serve you well. Not only does it transmit information, perceptions, emotions, and responses, it describes to the world who you are, and what you think. Its effectiveness depends to a great degree on how you use it. The sound of your voice can cause you to be reacted to in a negative manner or received in a positive light. The well-produced voice is dynamic, smooth, clear and efficient. It commands, persuades, instructs and conveys -- successfully!

Join us for "Speaking for Success," a workshop designed to enhance your vocal skills based on the work of Dr. Morton Cooper and Peter Sicilian's 35 years of private voice instruction. This workshop is ideal for professionals, educators, and public speakers who rely on their voice in their daily work.

We'll cover essential topics such as maintaining good vocal health, effective voice production techniques, healthy vocal projection, midsection breath support, and strategies for managing nerves.

Class size is limited to ensure personalized attention, so be sure to sign up early! For more information, please contact Peter Sicilian at sicilian@binghamton.edu.

If you anticipate a need for disability-related accommodations or auxiliary aids to attend or participate in any event, please contact UCTD at uctd@binghamton.edu. We ask that you provide us with at least 3-5 days of advance notice regarding your equal access needs.
