This workshop is being held online via Zoom. Having a conversation with colleagues on topics related to social issues or work-related matters can easily become uncomfortable and "messy" if one is not aware of their bias or lacks awareness of a sensitive topic. Respect is an important value for most so improving communication skills in this area is critical for growth and professional development. This workshop promotes the university's efforts to promote community standards that includes inclusive and respectful speech in the classroom/office environment while also reminding participants about policies and procedures.
This training is facilitated by Human Resources and the Affirmative Action Office
