From Dissertation to Book: A TRIP Workshop

This workshop will explore how graduate students can think strategically about transforming a dissertation into a book project, as well as how to plan ahead when selecting and shaping a dissertation topic with publication in mind.

Participants will receive peer feedback on their proposals. To facilitate this, participants are encouraged to bring three paper copies of a draft proposal. The draft proposal does not need to be complete, but it should include most of the following components:

1. Brief abstract (about 150 words)

2. CV (two pages maximum)

3. Table of contents/chapter outline

4. Market

5. List of recent comparable and competing titles

6. Status of the work
