Calling all bearcats who act, dance and/or sing! We have audition opportunities for all levels of experience with performing. Our Spring productions, Everybody and Twilight: Los Angeles 1992 will be web-based productions, giving students on and off campus opportunities to perform. Show us what you've got! Everybody, directed by Elizabeth Mozer, will be performed in March. Twilight: Los Angeles 1992, directed by Danyé Brown, will be performed in May.
- Auditions will take place in a live Zoom meeting on Nov. 18 and 19
- Sign up for audition time slots here.
- Callbacks will take place Nov. 30-Dec. 5, 2020.
- Students may audition with one (or more of the following)
- A Monologue (1 minute memorized)
- Spoken Word Poem (1 minute memorized)
- Song - 16 bars (or up to 30 seconds)
- Dance/Movement - up to 1 minute (fine with or without music)
- 'No Fear' Audition: Read the blue text in the linked monologues and scenes below for your 'No Fear' Audition. Note: 'No Fear' not applicable for Junior & Senior Theatre Majors.
• 'No Fear' monologue (Monologue A or Monologue B)
• 'No Fear' Scene (Scene A or Scene B)
- Auditioners are considered for both plays regardless of which play they chose the 'No Fear' material from.
- 'No Fear' scenes may be read with our provided reader during the audition or a friend may accompany you in this portion of your audition.
Who can audition for a theatre production? EVERYONE!
Any and all registered Binghamton University students are welcome to audition for all Theatre Department Productions. We do NOT require that an auditioner is a Theatre Major or Minor.
