Presented by the Department of Theatre
Based on the play by Anton Chekhov
Adapted and Directed by Will Pomerantz

This sparkling new adaptation takes us into the soul of Chekhov’s masterpiece, tracing the dreams and passions of Olga, Masha and Irina — the three sisters of the title. Although these talented, cultured young women were born and raised in Moscow, for the past eleven years they have been living in the less vibrant environs of a country garrison town. As they fight to find their way back home, we meet many vivid, memorable characters, all drawn with Chekhov’s unique combination of humor, insight and intelligence. Will the sisters ever get back to Moscow? Will they find the love, excitement and meaning they seek?
