Plot synopsis:

A Super Happy Story (About Feeling Super Sad) is a fun, silly, and sad show for anyone whose brain isn't always on their side. Sally's a happy person. She doesn't let little things get her down and rarely cries. But she's got an illness. It makes her feel like she isn't the person she wants to be...But she doesn't want anyone to know about it. The musical includes a prologue and six chapters. As the protagonist and narrator, Sally is doing a cabaret show to tell her story about her childhood, first love, best friend, growing up, and most importantly, her depression and how to overcome the illness. Two ensemble performers, one male and one female, play multiple characters connected with Sally’s life, such as Sally’s mom, boyfriend, best friends, boss, and so on.
