Details
The goal of this project is for the audience to experience a side of artistry they are not usually privy to, not through an artist’s work, but by flipping the canvas and feeling the weight of the emotional pain that goes behind each work of art. Focusing on this common theme between the musicals, singers will focus on storytelling in song through musical content and text.
We are seeking singing actors of all voice types, including performers of diverse gender identities. Please prepare a 16 - 32 bar cut of a song in the style of or by Jason Robert Brown, Jonathan Larson, or Stephen Sondheim.
Auditions: Sept. 8 in Gruber Theater/Studio B at 7 p.m.
Callbacks: Sept. 10 in Gruber Theater/Studio B at 10 a.m.
Rehearsals begin: Nov. 7
Performance Dates: Dec. 8, 9, 10 in Gruber Theatre/Studio B at 7:30 p.m.
Performers may participate in Into the Woods and Vignettes of an Artist. The two productions do not conflict.
