Mission
SUNY Kids is a volunteer organization that takes kids from low income areas of Broome County on day trips every Saturday. Most of the children come from foster homes and are appointed to us through the Broome County Department of Social Service. We help provide a fun, safe environment for the children to enjoy as well as to learn. Some activities that we do include: roller blading, apple-picking, Discovery Center, bowling, etc.

Membership Benefits

We'd love to have you volunteer with us! Our organization takes children from the Binghamton area on field trips every Saturday from 11:30am to 4pm to places like The Discovery Center, Ross Park Zoo, Check E Cheese, etc.. We meet at the student Union, and take a school bus to our trips from there. Everything, admissions, food, transportation, is paid for by us!

To secure a spot on one of our trips, I will send an email out to the entire listserv, and it's first come first serve. Whoever responds first gets to come on a trip! So be looking out for our email.

In addition, in order to volunteer with us you need to fill out our volunteer application, and attach a printed picture of your student ID to it. Then bring this to our SUNY Kids mailbox in the SA office (which is in University Union West, behind Visions and the bookstore).
