School of the Arts @ LUMA - Day 2

School of the Arts Cinema's department Benjamin Stone (adjunct lecturer) and Brian Gray (alum) will be performing a 3D shadow play titled "In Medias Res" inside Stellar Human. They will be performing behind a screen inside a constructed "cube" apparatus with at least three different pairs of red & cyan lights illuminating our body shadows, mechanical devices, hand made puppets, and more. Visitors will be provided 3D glasses at the site to experience the depth our figures and movements create. The performance lasts four hours and is distinctly designed to be experienced in the middle of, or in process of performance, hence in media res. They are also collaborating with classes in the Cinema department such as Ariana Gerstein's experimental animation class. There will be parades of objects, shadows, and sounds.

We will also have Mina Lone, a Graduate Student, presenting "Memory Map" with her Faculty advisors Soyeon Jung (Art & Design) and Jacopo Mazzoni (DiDa).
