LUMA FESTIVAL
SEPTEMBER 11 & 12, 2026
8:30 PM to 12:15 AM
DOWNTOWN BINGHAMTON, NY

Check out these School of the Arts projects @ LUMA:

Memory Map — 17 Chenango Street
Graduate student Mina Lone, with faculty advisors Soyeon Jung (Art & Design) and Jacopo Mazzoni (DiDa), brings residents’ memories of Binghamton to life. Mina interviewed residents about their favorite places, then 3D scanned and printed the buildings, turning them into interactive artworks that play Binghamton memories.

In Medias Res — Stellar Human, 159 Washington St
Cinema lecturer Benjamin Stone and alum Brian Gray, in collaboration with Cinema classes including Ariana Gerstein’s experimental animation class, transform Stellar Human into a 3D performance space featuring handmade puppets, mechanical devices, and moving body shadows. Put on 3D glasses to experience a parade of objects, shadows, and sounds.

E Pluribus Unum — 78 Exchange Street
Southern Tier Singers' Collective, the professional-level chamber choir directed by William Culverhouse from Music Department, will be among the featured live performers for the LUMA production "E Pluribus Unum." Amongst the singers will be five recent BU alumni.

Hope to see you there!
