Join Binghamton University’s new School of the Arts (SOAR) for its first-ever student showcase!
Events from May 1 to 3 will shine a spotlight on student creations, research, and performance.
Binghamton University’s School of the Arts will hold its inaugural Student Showcase this spring on the University campus – a three-day Festival of the Arts.
Enjoy creative work and research from Art and Design, Art History, Binghamton University Art Museum, Cinema, Creative Writing, Music, and Theatre. Offerings will include performances, talks, screenings and hands-on demonstrations.
Note: All events are tentative, subject to changes due to final exam scheduling. Attendees are encouraged to check for updates closer to the event date. All events at the Fine Arts building unless otherwise noted.

The New Lyric | 1:20–2:20 p.m. | Casadesus Recital Hall — or outdoors if weather permits
Featuring opera arias performed by student vocalists and new songs from the collaboration between the Department of Music and Creative Writing Program
BU Steel Drum Band | 4:30-5:30 pm. | The Spine
BUAM Intern Showcase 5-7 p.m. | Outside of the BU Art Museum Main Gallery
Harpur Studio Jazz Band | 7:30–9 p.m. | Casadesus Recital Hall
Film Truck - Cinema Students Showcase | 7:30-9 p.m. | Parked in front of the Library Tower towards the Anderson Center
Cinema Student Projection 8:30–9:30 p.m. | Bartle Library Tower — outdoor event if weather permits
