Desk to 5K is a beginner-friendly employee wellness program designed to help participants progress from walking to jogging and running through a structured, supportive training plan. A 5K is 3.1 miles, and this challenge is built to welcome a wide range of experience levels, from true beginners to those looking to reestablish healthy routines and improve consistency.
This session will introduce participants to the overall program while also highlighting key principles that support success along the way. In addition to the training progression itself, participants will gain insight into basic nutrition and hydration strategies to support energy, recovery, and overall wellness; walking and running form to promote comfort, efficiency, and injury prevention; and the psychology of training, including motivation, goal setting, routine-building, and confidence development. The goal of Desk to 5K is not only to help participants prepare for the distance, but also to provide practical tools and healthy habits that can extend well beyond the program.

Join B-Healthy and Campus Recreation for an in-person information session to learn how to get started. This session will cover program details, available resources, and tips to help you successfully begin your journey, whether your goal is to complete a 5K or simply move more throughout your day.

Celebrate your accomplishments with B-Healthy and Campus Recreation! Join us as we recognize participants and reflect on the progress made throughout the challenge. All participants are welcome to attend and celebrate their journey.
