Mandatory training in compliance with SUNY regulations. The SUNY Title VI Student Workshop is designed to educate students on their rights and responsibilities under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. It emphasizes SUNY’s commitment to fostering an inclusive, equitable, and safe learning environment free from discrimination based on race, color, or national origin. The university has a comprehensive response plan to bias and discrimination. Participants will learn how to respond to a bias-related incident and steps to take to file a bias incident report. Case studies and group discussions will engage participants in learning and application.
