As black women, we are always told that we can’t do something, that we don’t fit somewhere. But that is simply not true! The past has shown us that in fact, black women are needed anywhere and everywhere. To do the things no one else will, and to conquer the so-called impossible. Being in these spaces we are still expected to fulfill a role that was created for us by others. However, we shouldn’t have to change in order to make space for ideas and opinions, we should be made to feel like space is willing to change for us. One of our main goals is to create space for like-minded women to air out their grievances that the rest of the world doesn’t share. The idea of this meeting is to allow our members as well as ourselves to discuss the obstacles we have had to overcome as women of color as well as how we can change the path for future women. Women are the pulse of the world!! Air out grievances: your voice matters!!
