Powerful United Ladies Striving to Elevate (PULSE) creates a comfortable environment where we can uplift ourselves and build strong bonds of sisterhood and friendship. We unite women of color and discuss issues that pertain to our multiple identities. To keep up with us follow our Instagram @pulseofbing .

P.U.L.S.E.

We are the Powerful United Ladies Striving to Elevate, an organization composed of women of color hoping to Educate, Elevate, and Empower all women across the Binghamton University Campus and the greater Binghamton area. Our mission is to promote self-awareness and provide a safe and open place to discuss gender, sex, health, self-esteem and many other issues that concern women of color. We will provide a safe psychological and physical space for all women to speak freely and openly among one another.

Purpose

A sisterhood of beautiful, educated, independent and powerful women who embody success while empowering one another to pursue knowledge at all times and further their education.

Educating, Elevating and Empowering women of color through a network of support on a cultural, educational, social and personal level.

Our purpose has been embodied throughout the years since the Summer of 2007 and strengthened after our chartered day March 8th, 2010; which happens to be International Women's Day!

Breast Cancer Walk & Festival

Every year we dedicate the month of October to breast cancer awareness! Throughout history women of color have disproportionately suffered from inadequate medical treatment and our community is unjustifiably suffering from breast cancer at a high rate. Our purpose every October is to educate and raise awareness among women of color on the Binghamton Campus about breast health.

Breast Cancer Walk

Our Breast Cancer Walk, usually done in collaboration with the Delta Chapter of Omega Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, is done every year in the Binghamton University Campus in order to raise awareness to this disease that affects our community so closely.

Breast Cancer Festival

Along with our annual Breast Cancer Walk we host our Breast Cancer Festival. A festival full of fun and awareness, in which we raise money to donate women who are currently battling breast cancer or have survived it.

WE3 Leadership Conference

Our Women Educating, Elevating, and Empowering Leadership Conference is an event where we aim to address topics that may pertain to our community but in a more professional or educational manner. We aim to provide our peers with whatever tools of success they need, surrounding the chosen topic. This is normally done through a series of panels, keynote speakers, and activities planned for attendees.
