Interested in science and technology, or maybe art and music, or even advertising and pharmaceuticals? Thinking about a career in the law? Join us on April 13 to learn more about the fields of patent and intellectual property (IP) law! These two connected fields cover many topics in our modern world, because they have to do with defining the rights that creators, inventors, and companies have to the things they design and produce, like software, medicine, music, and branding.

We'll be joined on Tuesday by Lisa Ulrich, a Binghamton graduate who currently serves as an in-house counsel at IBM specializing in patents and trademark issues. Lisa also has experience working in private practice, and she'll lead us in a conversation about her work, how she came to it, and how anyone interested in patents or IP can get into those fields.

All Binghamton students and alumni are welcome to join us! This event will be held on Zoom, with the meeting link sent in advance to those who register.
