About Us

The objectives of this club are to promote the knowledge of Osteopathic Medicine to the general public, to network with the Osteopathic community, including Osteopathic medical schools and Osteopathic physicians, to get undergraduate students involved with Osteopathic Medicine and to form connections and receive updates from the National Pre-SOMA/SOMA organizations. On campus, our group hopes to increase the knowledge of students of Osteopathic Medicine since this type of medicine is now on the rise. There are many pre-medical Binghamton students that do not realize the benefits of D.O. schools or what they have to offer because many have it set in their mind that M.D. is the only option. Through Pre-SOMA, our group can spread the word about Osteopathic Medicine and D.O. schools, giving pre-medical students greater options for their future.
