About Us
This organization was founded in 1987 by a group of people who passionately cared about delivering health as well as living necessities to people living in rural Haiti. It started in Haiti, and now the organization has spanned to delivering the exact same care in Malawi, Lesotho, Russia, the U.S., and so many more. Now, in 2018, there are 48 PIH communities all over the nation consisting of high school students, college students, young professionals, and retirees. We are constantly raising awareness for health to be a given human right. Past events include meeting with our Congress member Senator Schumer, publishing letters to the editor in local community papers, holding educational events on TB and HIV/AIDS, planning fundraisers, and more.
