Details

Fred Moten (b. 1962) is one of the foremost scholars of Black studies, a highly innovative voice in critical theory and a renowned poet and music critic. His books include "In the Break: The Aesthetics of the Black Radical Tradition" (2003) and, most recently, "consent not to be a single being" (2017-18), a three-volume collection of essays. He is professor of performance studies at the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University.
