Please join us for the Faculty Recital: Love, Loss, and Dreams with Brenda Iglesias, contralto and Curtis Pajer, piano on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 7:30 PM at the Chamber Hall! Love, Loss, and Dreams: A Woman’s Life in Song centers on "Frauenliebe und Leben" by Robert Schumann, the beloved cycle tracing a woman’s journey through love, marriage, motherhood, and loss.
The program also celebrates the 150th anniversary of Manuel de Falla with songs reflecting memory, grief, and a mother’s prayer for children spared from war. Completing the recital is a revival of rarely heard songs in French by Mexican composer Gustavo Campa, newly edited and presented as a U.S. premiere, all brought to life by Binghamton faculty artists Brenda Iglesias, contralto, and Curt Pajer, piano.
