University Symphony Orchestra presents, Folktales in Motion. This program traces folk traditions as they spring to life through rhythm and movement. From vibrant folk rhythms of Bartók’s Romanian Folk Dances to the global fusion of Michael Abels’ Global Warming, and from Márquez’s sparkling Danzón No. 2, to Rimsky-Korsakov’s fantastical Scheherazade, these works transform folk-inspired tales into dazzling symphonic motion.
