The Binghamton University Department of Music presents the Binghamton University Wind Symphony: "Inspired," under the direction of Lindsey Williams, at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, in the AC-Osterhout Concert Theater. The program features Stephen Shewan's "Fanfare," Erika Svanoe's "Mary Shelley Meets Frankenstein," Francis McBeth's ``Of Sailors and Whales," Robert Jager's "Esprit De Corps" and David Gillingham's "Be Thou My Vision." The program will conclude with the premiere of a new edition of Robert Goldma's transcription of Igor Stavinski's "Berceuse and Finale" from The Firebird by the symphony's late director Daniel Fabricius. Tickets are $10, general public; $5, faculty, staff, seniors; free for students.
