The Department of Music and the Binghamton University Art Museum present the first installment of the Momenta @ the Museum series, which features Binghamton University's acclaimed ensemble-in-residence in the gloriously resonant main gallery of the museum. In this performance at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, the Momenta Quartet will offer a genre-bending program that includes music from the Spanish Renaissance, an 80th-birthday celebration of experimental icon Meredith Monk and new sounds from contemporary Iran. Momenta will be joined by the Binghamton University Treble Chorus and the Binghamton University Composers and Sound Artists, under the direction of associate professors William Culverhouse and Daniel Thomas Davis.
