Third Annual Three Sisters Garden Planting
Registration
Registration is now closed (this event already took place).
Details
Partners from across Binghamton University will be planting the "Three Sisters Garden" in collaboration with the Onondaga Nation, the central fire keepers of the Haudenosaunee, and in the spirit of the Two Row Wampum — G├ñ•sweñta' or The Silver Covenant Chain of Friendship. As a Living Treaty, "Together we will travel in Friendship and in Peace Forever; as long as the grass is green, as long as the water runs downhill, as long as the sun rises in the East and sets in the West, and as long as our Mother Earth will last."
Closed-toe shoes and light jackets are advised in case of inclement weather. Shelter and seating will be provided
If you have any questions, please contact Ethan Tyo (Multicultural Resource Center), BrieAnna Langlie (Department of Anthropology) or Barry Brenton (Center for Civic Engagement): etyo@binghamton.edu langlie@binghamton.edu or bbrenton@binghamton.edu
