Join us this Friday at 5:30 in Mountainview's App 111 for a catered movie event celebrating Black History Month. "Summer of Soul: Or When the Revolution Could Not be Televised" is a compelling and entertaining film about the Harlem Cultural Festival of 1969. It features electrifying performances by and interviews with Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight, Nina Simone, and many others, while also exploring the cultural/historical context and significance of the festival. Stick around after the movie, if you like, for a "Food for Thought" discussion. Co-sponsored by the Common Read Program, MRC, and Mountainview Res Life. Contact Mountainview CP Dr. Dana (stewart@binghamton.edu) with any questions.
