About Us
MEDLIFE stands for Medicine, Education, and Development for Low Income Families Everywhere. We are an organization that partners with low-income communities in Latin America to improve their access to medicine, education, and community development initiatives. We achieve our mission through Volunteer Trips, the MEDLIFE Project Fund, and student empowerment. Our club gives members the opportunity to embark on Medical Missions and Mobile Clinics in various countries around the world. A MEDLIFE Mobile Clinic is a basic medical clinic that we bring directly to the poor. Staffed not only by general practitioners, each clinic provides patients with dental, OB/GYN, and pediatric care, as well as access to preventative tests. Mobile Clinic participants have the opportunity to work closely with and learn from our medical professionals first hand. The Binghamton MEDLIFE chapter is all about service and fundraising opportunities! Despite the misleading name, you DO NOT have to be pre-med to be involved. All majors are welcome!
