HistoryForge is a crowdsourced local history project where volunteers transcribe historic census records to map Binghamton's past. Join us to learn about the project and get trained in transcribing the census records that form HistoryForge's interactive map and database. Attendees will work together to transcribe records, troubleshoot tricky handwriting, and contribute to the project. All are welcome, refreshments will be provided, and we encourage attendees to bring a laptop if they have one.
