Join us for "A Conversation about Blacks & Jews in America" with Professor Holly Y. McGee of the University of Cincinnati and Professor Jonathan Karp of Binghamton University.

Prof. Holly McGee is a historian of African American History, black women’s activist and intellectual history, comparative political activism in the U.S. and South Africa. She is working on a book titled “The Troubles Between Us” on the relationships between black and Jewish people in American culture. She is also the author of One Day We Are Going Home: Radical Apartheid Internationalism and Exile in the Life of Elizabeth Mafeking (Catalyst Press, 2025).

Prof. Jonathan Karp is a scholar of modern Jewish history and author of a forthcoming study of Blacks and Jews in the popular music business.
