International Student Orientation will include a combination of pre-recorded videos  and programs that you will attend in-person. The pre-recorded videos will cover a variety of important topics for new students including health insurance, immigration regulations, and more. 

The interactive in-person components taking place Tuesday, August 13 - Wednesday, August 14, 2024 will allow new international students to engage with one another, make connections, and get to know more about the Binghamton University campus. Additional Orientation activities will take place throughout the start of the fall semester.

We will also discuss tips for adjusting to life in the US and some health and safety reminders.

The first step to success is understanding the resources available to you both on and off-campus. In this session, new students will have the opportunity to learn more about U.S. academic expectations and culture while interacting with other participants. Some topics that will be discussed include: tips for success, in-class participation, group work, school/life balance, time management, tutoring, and writing assistance.
