Global Networking Group:
The Office of International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) and the Office of International Education and Global Initiatives (IEGI) are continuing the pilot program, originally named 'Global Connections Program' (GCP), for the Fall 2021-Spring 2022 academic year. It is being renamed to the 'Global Networking Group' (GNG).
The Binghamton University GNG aims to promote meaningful interactions between current students, develop intercultural communication skills, and strengthen community among students. The program also aims to be as inclusive as possible. As such, every student who completes the Interest Form is generally accepted. Each student will be grouped with other students in a 'pod' based on common interests. These groups will be autonomous. To provide structure though, students will be strongly encouraged to attend the 2 events per month with the entirety of GNG in order to meet other members.
Eligibility:
- Must be a current Binghamton University student.
- Must commit to participating in the program for the entire 2021-2022 academic year. If you are graduating prior to Spring 2022, you are unfortunately not eligible.
- Both virtual and in-person activities will be offered*.
Important Dates and Deadlines:
- Deadline to submit Interest Form: Sunday, September 5th at 11:59pm
- Initial 'Kick-Off' event where you'll meet your group: Thursday, September 9th at 4pm

*The plan currently is for some activities to be virtual but many to be in-person as well. This is all COVID-depending, we will keep you updated as we know more.
