Study Abroad: Spring Break 2025 in France!

Spend spring break 2025 in Paris, Reims, and Verdun exploring how memory shapes individual and collective interpretations of the World Wars. Through readings and films, supplemented by on-site visits to museums, memorials, and commemorative sites, students will consider how individuals, nations, and citizens remember their past, repress painful memories, create new interpretations, and sometimes even forget. Earn 4 credits (HIST 386A/ WGSS380B/ GMAP381A). General education credit will be offered for W (Writing), N (Social Sciences), T (Critical Thinking), and I (Information Literacy). Previous knowledge of the course content or French is not required.
