Spend spring break 2025 in Italy engaging with questions about “making” in the ancient Roman world - namely what processes and people were responsible for crafts and craft production in the Roman Mediterranean. Visit archaeological sites and museums in and around Rome (Roman Forum, Palatine Hill, Baths of Caracalla, Pantheon, and other locations). Excursions beyond the city will take students to Tivoli, Ostia, and Northern Suburbium. Earn 4 credits (SCHL 282A - 01). General education credit will be offered for Aesthetics (A). Previous knowledge of the course content or Italian is not required.

Join us for this info session to learn more and meet the faculty leaders, Professor Jeffrey Becker (beckerj@binghamton.edu) and Professor Hilary Becker (hbecker@binghamton.edu)! Click here for additional information and/or to start an application.

Please note that the spring 2025 program requires a minimum of 10 committed applicants to run. There is also a maximum number of 25 students who can participate so if applications exceed that number, it may become competitive. Should the program become competitive, preference will be given to students within the Binghamton University Scholars Program.
