Calling all past, upcoming, and future study abroad students! This Education Abroad Mixer is a space for you to meet students who have already studied abroad, those who are studying abroad this upcoming winter or spring, and students who plan to study abroad in the future. 
 

3:30 - 4:15pm: Meet your next travel buddy during this networking time. Snacks will be provided! 

4:15 - 5:00pm: Attend a breakout session to dive into one of the following topics: 
 

  • International Opportunities Post-Graduation 
    Are you interested in going abroad after you've graduated? This breakout session will discuss post-graduation international experiences such as graduate studies, teaching English, living and working, and fellowships and scholarship programs. Learn helpful tips and tricks, as well as information on how you can get support for certain opportunities here on-campus.
     
  • Diversity Abroad: An Open Discussion 
    Diversity abroad is important. What are some of the challenges underrepresented groups may face when studying abroad? How might our awareness of those challenges help us navigate our way to success? Come join our open discussion to share your experiences, ask questions, address concerns, and to see what diversity abroad looks like!
     
  • Budgeting & Money Management Tips for Education Abroad
    Curious about how to plan a budget for your time abroad? How about ways to save money while abroad or other tips for spending money internationally? Join this session to learn how to create a budget, and tips and tricks from IEGI for money management before and during your time abroad.
