Education Abroad Mixer

Calling all students studying abroad summer 2023, fall 2023, and/or academic year 2023-24! This Education Abroad Mixer is a space for you to meet students who are studying abroad this upcoming summer, fall and academic year. There will also be some of our Education Abroad Ambassadors who would be happy to chat about their experience abroad!

Schedule of Event:
3pm-3:45pm: Meet and mingle with other study abroad participants! We'll also have some returnee study abroad students who can talk to you about their experiences! Snacks, coffee, and tea will be provided!

3:45pm-4:45pm: What to Expect When You Study Abroad
What happens if my flight is delayed, or my luggage is lost? How do I use public transportation? What do I do if I lose my passport? How do I have fun and stay safe when I go out? These may be just some of the questions you ask yourself as you prepare to study abroad. This interactive, real-life scenario-based session designed for both first-time travelers and experienced voyagers alike will get you meeting even more fellow study abroad participants. We'll have an open conversation about some of the most common snafus student's experience when they study abroad - and how to avoid them or respond when they happen.

4:45pm-5pm: You're welcome to leave at 4:45pm, or stick around and ask any questions, or continue to chat with your peers!
