Drive Day With Binghamton Motorsports

October 25 Drive Day–SAE Hybrid Kart Debut

The 10/25 Drive Day marks the public debut of SAE’s Hybrid go-kart, representing two semesters of engineering development. The festival-esque 10/25 Drive Day will see a collaboration between SAE, Binghamton Motorsports, Hinman College Council, BAEC, and Watson organizations fielding their own in-house go-kart, including but not limited to SHPE, ASME, and SASE. We anticipate at least 4 karts in attendance. Differing from previous Drive Days, we intend to split the grounds of Lots M3 & M4 into two smaller race courses in place of one longer track to accommodate a greater expected turnout. Safety considerations will be assessed, and a safety plan—spearheaded by SAE and Motorsports—is in progress. The 10/25 Drive Day will see attendees treated to the opportunity to lap Watson’s go-karts around a race course. Bring friends to experience this!
