Back by popular demand after drawing a packed house despite last February’s severe weather, Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Dr. Edda Fields-Black returns to Binghamton University on November 9 for a two-part public lecture and interdisciplinary workshop. Part one is a public talk based on her book, COMBEE: Harriet Tubman, the Combahee River Raid, and Black Freedom during the Civil War. Part two is a graduate student workshop on the arts of research, focusing on multidisciplinary methodologies in the age of AI. Open to all disciplines—from the humanities to STEM and professional schools—this event explores how diverse methodologies can transform how we read data, archives, and evidence across every field.

Sponsored by the Harriet Tubman Center for Freedom and Equity and the Office of the President with support from the Graduate Center for Professional Development in the Graduate School.
Food Provided (Food available at 12pm. Anyone who is planning to attend the talk, lunch, or the workshop should use the QR code on the flyer. )
